Hello and Welcome

My name is Paula D'Arcangelo, MS, CCC-SLP.  I am a licensed Speech Language Pathologist providing services in League City, Texas and surrounding areas. I earned a Masters of Science Degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Louisiana in Lafayette in December of 1999.  I have been a practicing SLP for over 22 years.  I have worked in various settings, providing speech and language therapy services to adults, school age children (5-18yr), and preschool aged children (3-5yr).  I am especially dedicated to the evaluation and treatment of stuttering in preschool children (3-5yr), school aged children (5-18yr), and adults (18yr+).  I also enjoy providing services in the areas of speech sound disorders and receptive/expressive language.   

Training and Qualifications

I began practicing as a licensed and certified Speech Language Pathologist in January of 2000  after receiving  my graduate training and education from the University of Louisiana in Lafayette.  It was during my graduate training, that I discovered my passion for working with children, teens, and adults who stutter.  I continue to educate myself with the latest research and developments in the areas of fluency, speech sound disorders, and receptive/expressive language to provide the most effective therapy I can for my clients. I believe in providing client centered evaluations and therapy tailored for the individual client and their needs.  I value the involvement of my clients in the planning and implementation of their therapy in order to offer a client centered approach to the  services I provide.  I am currently a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association, the Texas Speech and Hearing Association, and the National Stuttering Association.  I am licensed in the state of Texas and  also hold my Certificate of Clinical Competence.
